The Gift - directed by Carl E. Rinsch - is a Sci-Fi short set in a futuristic and dismal Russia, where robotic dogs walk the streets and city access is granted only upon militant testing of ones tongue. From the beginning of the film, we follow a sad-looking gentleman on a mission to deliver a gift, a red, gold-ribbon-sealed box which he carries with him through the barren metropolis. But the present isn't what it seems, and upon arrival at the desired destination, his plans go a little awry. What follows is a high-speed police/robot chase through town, and it's so compelling that you kind of wish it was a full-length feature by the end. Peep for yourself...
